Trapper Keeper
Stuff I saved in September
Here’s are some things from the internet that I loved and saved to share with you from last month!
This youtube video on Home Organization for people with ADHD.
I’m getting back into beading because of this tiktok.
This recipe for Pan de Elote that was so easy and delicious.
I read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab with my book club and loved it.
The episode Etta on Heavyweights took me by surprise in a perfect way, and had me crying hard while sweating on a walk, which is a feeling I’ve come to love.
This newsletter called Yes, When was sent to me by my dear friend Steph and is so totally inspiring.
Speaking of newsletters this called grounding exercises from my writing life that help everywhere by milk & cookies gave me a lot of great things to put into practice.
I hope you’re not tired of newsletters because this issue of The Imperfectionists called a string of beads changed the way my brain is wired when it comes to the state of everything.
If you’ll indulge me in recommending one more newsletter because if you haven’t read it, then you should read An Existential Guide to: Making Friends by the Shadowed Archive and then you should maniacally text all your friends that you love them.
I have been in a reading slump that was both caused and solved by the same book and that book is The Wager by David Grann which I did love, but it took me a while to get through.
Immediately following the slump I read Exiles by Mason Coile and it was exceptional. It’s a speculative novel that doesn’t feel so speculative about space, the colonization of mars, ai, loneliness and solitude, and grief. After reading I looked up the author and was gutted to find out he passed away in January of this year.
I made this recipe for Pumpkin Muffins and unanimously everyone has loved it.
A penny for your thoughts?
I do a lot of talking about what I love on this newsletter, and I have been tossing around the idea of doing giveaways for paid subscribers for some of the things I love so vote in this poll if you’d like that sort of thing.
Thank you for reading! It means the world to me that you’d continue to extend the invite into your proverbial living room. The newsletter is my favorite place on the internet and I am consistently thrilled to learn that it means something to other people. If you want to support what I’m doing, here’s a little list of ways you can help out:
